Summary
I have a strong background in communications and policy, but also a creative streak and have a zeal for digital media.I am working towards my Masters in Public Policy from the University of Southern California in May 2012. I am specializing in political management and strategic communications. For example, I am in the midst of a year-long practicum where I am developing a social media strategy for the State Department's Bureau of African Affairs' public diplomacy outreach in Madagascar and Senegal. I am committed to making government more accountable to its citizens through digital media and technology. Towards that end, I have been developing WeLobby.org, a tool that enables the crowd-sourcing of campaign donations contingent on how politicians vote. The project won 2nd place in the 2011 Annenberg Innovation Lab's Crunch Design Challenge.
Prior to enrolling in grad school, I was the sole writer for American Top 40 with Ryan Seacrest, the most widely syndicated radio show in the world, reaching an audience of over 20 million listeners each week. I am also a documentary filmmaker, stand-up comedian, and fiction writer. My resume can be viewed here.
